Our Manager Trainee Programs
Driver Manager Trainee Program
The Driver Manager Trainee Program is a comprehensive 3-to-6-month training initiative that prepares participants for leadership roles in TCI's operations. Trainees receive hands-on experience managing accounts, overseeing driver operations, and learning the fundamentals of transportation management. Upon completion, trainees are assigned a permanent role as a Transportation or Driver Manager, or a position suited to their qualifications, with relocation as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Master TCI systems, including McLeod, Samsara, DriveCam, and Idelic.
- Learn all aspects of Driver Manager responsibilities, including dispatch, payroll, safety, recruiting, maintenance, and P&L management.
- Travel to sites to manage accounts with vacant managers on short notice.
- Execute company projects and assist with new account startups as assigned.
- Develop a strong understanding of DOT rules, Hours of Service, and company compliance standards.
- Complete the Operations Training Manual and cross-train with all TCI departments.
Program Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management required.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate within the U.S. to an open management position upon program completion.
- Travel: 25-50% during the training period.
- Completion Time: 3-6 months.

This program includes extensive travel, comprehensive training in TCI systems, and hands-on experience managing service operations.

- Gain proficiency in TCI systems such as Karmak/Fusion and Samsara.
- Learn all aspects of Service Branch management, including operations, safety, payroll, recruiting, and branch P&L.
- Travel to various sites to manage accounts with vacant managers.

- Complete the Service Manager Training Manual and department-specific training.
- Actively support branch operations as needed, including supervisory roles.

- Education: Associate’s Degree in Diesel Mechanics Technology required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate within the U.S. to an open management position upon program completion.
